Chrome.

Madaf is a browser extension that shows the material on a Moodle site and on the Meida-net student portal in a different layout. This page explains what the extension reads, where that information is kept, and where it does not go.
After the student clicks the Madaf button, the extension reads the following from the Moodle site the student is signed in to: the list of courses, the topics and materials in each course, file names, and assignment due dates. It reads this only to show it on screen in a different layout.
On Meida-net, the extension only changes the appearance of the page that is open.
Madaf runs only after its button is clicked, and only on the page that is open at that moment. It does not read any other site and does not track browsing.
The information stays in the student's browser. Settings, the items the student has pinned, and the list of file names are saved in the browser's storage so the extension opens faster next time. Madaf has no server, and none of this information is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
Madaf does not read or store the student's username or password.
The extension contacts the institution's own Moodle site to read the material.
It loads its fonts from Google Fonts. As with any font loaded from an external site, this means Google sees the computer's IP address.
The first time the extension is opened in a browser, it adds one to a counter of how many browsers have opened Madaf. The counter runs on a third-party counting service, and the request carries no name, email address or other detail about the student.
For some institutions, the extension downloads a publicly available file listing the pages of the institution's website, so that they can be searched.
The developer receives no information about students, so there is nothing to sell, transfer or share.
Removing the extension from the browser stops it from running. To delete what was saved in the browser, clear the site data for the Moodle site in the browser's settings.
Questions about this page can be sent to the email address shown on the Madaf page in the Chrome Web Store.
